Mooneyes Cooler

 A very few of you might remember my special relationship to mooneyes cooler. I found one in Thailand a few years ago and nearly got bankrupt due to a mistake during paypaling. I never received that cooler! And now I suddenly found two yellow ones!

New Repro Coolers

I test bought a new style of repro cooler from the UK. Quality is great, unfortunately the size doesn't match my A1 and 6-pack only collection. But disregarding that it's a great cooler, available in different colours. Get in touch with Ben Penny from Empiretyres to get one!

Chromed Coolers

Not all collectors fancy repro coolers, but "retro-products" 6-pack coolers were produced in a limited run of 200 to 500 pieces and became highly sought collectors items in the recent years. The chromed versions are even more rar, they say there were only 20 each ever made! You can't find them, they have to find you! These were offered to me by a collector from California and I just couldn't resist.

Stainless Dr. Pepper

I added two very rare coolers to my collection: a stainless Dr. Pepper cooler and a chromed Coke repro 6-Pack. Both are very hard to find! Very pleased these two found me :)!

2 Coolers

I updated two of my favourite coolers. I can't really explain why, but somehow Photoshop is currently kind of a self therapy for me as a coping strategy to handle the own helplessness. And we thought the world was going to be better after two Covid years!

Family portaits

A friend of mine recently asked me, what a "double dot" Pepsi cooler is. I took a pic of my double and single dot coolers and decided to take a few more pics of coolers that are from the same family. In case you don't know either and don't spot the difference: Pepsi changed its logo end of the 1940s from a double dot between the words to a single dot. That's why the double dots in good condition are very rare! They are more than 70 years old (apart from the small repro ones! Those are from the 90/00s).

I thought my cooler shelf is full already, but somehow I found away to ad a few of my 6-pack coolers to the display!

Rosco Cooler

This is a rare one. Seems to be from Mexico and is embossed. I only know of one other. Strangest part: sold in the German classifieds...! Obviously it got repainted in the past. Might have been blue before, at least the other one I know is blue, and there seems to peek a bit of blue under the paint. But following the last seller, the previous seller insisted the original paint was a similar red like it is today.

Dr. Pepper Cooler

Found a nice repro Dr. Pepper 6-Pack and couldn't resist. 2 days later I found a second one slightly cheaper, so I kind of had to buy 2... but sold the second one to a friend already.

Double Dot Retro Cooler

I do not collect 6-Pack coolers, but I still have a few. Recently discovered this retro cooler on craigslist and just had to have it. The 1940s double dot Pepsi logo makes it rare and worth finding some space on a shelf.

Rarest of the rare!

I had my hands on a very desirable cooler! A Dr. Pepper A1 in stainless steel. Got the hint somebody sold one on craigslist in Minnesota, but "local pickup and cash only" in an ad doesn't help when you're writing from Germany. I asked for help in a local Facebook group and found a very nice girl who was willing to help. She knocked on the sellers door with my cash in her hands, but the seller already gave his word to another guy who promised to drive 1200miles two days later. And so he did, and I even know him, from a collectors group on FB. One lucky guy! This thing is unicornshit in a collectors world!

Dr. Pepper Cooler

I got a new Dr. Pepper Cooler! The middle one just arrived. I was looking for a decent one in that style for ages already and am very happy I finally found one!

Wedding + 60th Birthday

Took a colleague to the chapel today! Apart from this there was another reason for a party: the bus has its 60th birthday today! Had a good day, unfortunately got a little wet on my way home.
